FFlowdeck

What Flowdeck covers — and what it leaves to your accounting tools.

Flowdeck is a management reporting layer. It turns the data you already collect into dashboards, answers and scheduled reports. It does not replace the systems that record transactions.

Inside Flowdeck

  • Connected data sources

CSV upload and Google Sheet links with scheduled refresh. One workspace can hold many sources and datasets.

  • Typed, quality-checked datasets

Columns are recognised as numbers, dates or text. You get warnings for empty columns, mixed types and duplicate rows before they affect a chart.

  • Department dashboards

Build from built-in templates or describe what you want in plain English. Dashboards update when the underlying data refreshes.

  • Budget and forecast variance

Link an actuals dataset to a budget or forecast dataset, then show actual-vs-budget bars, variance tables and totals.

  • Period comparisons and run-rate

Compare this month, last month, quarter, YTD or the last 12 months. Rolling averages, run-rate and runway tiles are available out of the box.

  • Ask-your-data Q&A

Type a plain-English question and get a short answer plus a chart built from the real rows.

  • Report packs with review workflow

Generate written commentary, move reports through draft → in review → approved, and keep a locked snapshot of the signed-off version.

  • Scheduled refresh and alerts

Set Google Sheets to refresh hourly, daily or weekly. Schedule report packs and create threshold alerts that notify the workspace.

  • Team access control

Invite people as owner, admin, member or viewer. Every dataset and dashboard is scoped to its workspace.

Outside Flowdeck (for now)

  • Daily bookkeeping

Flowdeck is not an accounting ledger. It does not record debits and credits, journal entries or day books.

  • Source document capture

It does not store invoices, receipts, purchase orders or cheque counterfoils, and it does not extract data from PDF bills.

  • General, debtors and creditors ledgers

Balances and sub-ledgers live in your accounting package. Flowdeck reads exported or linked data for reporting, not transaction posting.

  • Trial-balance production

A trial balance is an accounting control step. Flowdeck shows preview tables and quality checks, but it does not produce a formal TB.

  • Multi-currency consolidation

Currency conversion and multi-entity consolidation are kept for a later phase; numbers are reported in the currency they arrive in.

  • Email delivery

Reports and alerts currently live in-app. Email delivery needs a custom sending domain and is planned for a later release.

  • Write-back to source systems

Flowdeck reads data and produces reports. It does not write forecasts or adjustments back into Google Sheets, ERPs or bank feeds.
